Thrive

Pastors' Wives' Network

The THRIVE Network is designed to gather, encourage and support women in the unique role of pastor’s wife. We acknowledge the joys and challenges of this distinct calling and long to create a nourishing space where pastor’s wives can thrive in their relationship with Christ and His church.

Our goal is threefold…

REFRESH

  • We want our Charis Fellowship pastors’ wives to feel seen, known, and valued. We long to offer rest and refreshment for your body, mind, and soul as we point you to Jesus.

RESOURCE

  • We want to provide resources to enrich and equip you personally, relationally, and ministerially.

RELATIONSHIP

  • We want to cultivate spaces for pastors’ wives to build connections with one another. Our hope is that these relationships would provide camaraderie, mentoring, support, prayer, accountability, encouragement, and enjoyment!

“You Too?”

In his book The Four Loves, C.S. Lewis said:

“Friendship arises out of mere companionship when two or more of the companions discover that they have in common some insight or interest or even taste which the others do not share and which, till that moment, each believed to be his own unique treasure or burden. The typical expression of opening friendship would be something like, ‘What? You too? I thought I was the only one.’

…It is when two such persons discover one another, when, whether with immense difficulties or semi-articulate fumblings or with what would seem to us amazing and elliptical speed, they share their vision – it is then that friendship is born. And instantly they stand together in immense solitude.”

THRIVE exists to help pastor’s wives develop these “You, too?” relationships with each another. But our main goal is to point them to Jesus, their ultimate “You, too?”

“Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)
