My Prayer for You

My most recent memory verse may seem odd to most people. I’ve heard of memorizing Ruth’s commitment to Naomi, and it’s a common vow to use in weddings. But does anyone memorize what Boaz said to Ruth when he first met her?

I chose to work on memorizing it because it reflects my deepest desire for every one of God’s people I know, and, in fact, those I don’t know, too. I’m learning it because I want to be reminded over and over that God is a rewarder of those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

So this is my prayer for you today and every day as you faithfully serve him: “The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.” Amen.
